Despite widespread criticisms and condemnation of Israel's war on Gaza, military dialogue between Tel Aviv and Arab countries remains strong under the guidance of the US Central Command. Earlier this week, IDF Chief of Staff General Hertzi Halevi met with Arab counterparts in Manama, Bahrain to discuss regional security cooperation. The meeting, led by US Central Command's General Eric Corella, remained undisclosed publicly due to the political sensitivities surrounding the Gaza war. Senior generals from militaries of Bahrain, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Egypt participated in the meeting. Key discussion points included air and missile defence cooperation in the region in recent years. US officials highlighted that regional cooperation has significantly enhanced intelligence gathering and early warning capabilities, involving active participation from Jordan, the UK with the US. US officials say that cooperation with Israel and Arab countries in the region has allowed for the collection of intelligence information about the attack and provided early warning regarding the launch of drones and missiles. They added that this cooperation also includes the active participation of Jordan and Saudi Arabia in intercepting missiles and drones launched from Iran, Iraq, and Yemen towards Israel and crossing through their airspace. The cooperation between Israel and the Arab countries continues under the central command of the US Army, despite the public criticisms and harsh condemnations of the Israeli army's actions in Gaza. Israel, considered as an apartheid state by major international rights groups and several countries, is facing accusations of commiting a genoocide and ethnic killing of Palestinians during its ongoing onslausght on Gaza. Israel has killed more than 37,000 Palestinians including women, children and babies and injured close to 85,000 others since the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack that resulted in the deaths of 1,200 Israelis and the capture of several hostages. The Israeli military killed hundred of Palestinians as it carried out an operation earlier this week aimed at rescuing four hostages held by Hamas. The IDF indirectly addmitted to its indscriminate killing of Palesitnians claiming it is aware of under 100 casualties it had caused, but doesn't know how many of the victims were terrorists.
