A freeze warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for several North Alabama counties. The warning will be in effect from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Friday, affecting Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan, Marshall, Jackson, DeKalb, and Cullman counties. When a freeze warning or watch is issued, residents are urged to protect their plants.
